400 birthing kits for mothers in Africa & many other countries

With Swami's Divine Grace, our members of the Queensland Region partnered with the Birthing Kit Foundation of Australia and assembled birthing kits for mothers facing the most challenging of circumstances when they give birth.

This special community service activity was undertaken by our members on Sunday 1 May at the Helensvale Community Centre in the Gold Coast and was a special offering for Mother’s day and Easwaramma day.

Before the birthing kits were packed, our members participated in bhajans sung by our sisters. More than 30 members assembled 400 birthing kits which will later be distributed to mothers in remote parts of Africa and many undeveloped countries. After the kits were packed, lunch was then served to all our members.

We are very grateful to all our members who participated on the day as well as all those who contributed with the purchase of the kit items and lovely lunch served on the day.

The birthing kits are assembled separately and then packed all in one single kit.
