July 2022 NSW Floods - food and essentials for Hawkesbury communities

The Hawesbury community in North West Sydney has once again been inundated by floods following massive rain over the last few days.

In response for help from the team at the New South Wales Rural Fire Service, Hawkesbury Branch earlier this afternoon, our members from New South Wales Region West quickly mobilised and collected and delivered canned food, rice, clean drinking water, milk, other food items and personal essentials. This recent floods follows the March/April 2022 floods which affected more than 300,000 residents of the Hawkesbury community.

We are very grateful to NSW Region West members for the speedy response and love to serve the flood affected communities. We are amazed by their spirit to serve and their love for the communities affected by the floods.

We are also thankful to the New South Wales Rural Fire Service, Hawkesbury Branch for their partnership with the NSW Floods Community Service project.
