Mayor of Blacktown City (4th largest council in Australia) opens Annual Seniors Xmas Celebrations


Tony Bleasdale, Mayor of Blacktown City, 4th largest council in Australia, opened this year's Annual Seniors Christmas Celebrations in Sydney this morning. The Seniors Christmas Celebrations was attended by more than 230 seniors from more than 25 ethnic communities.


Residents of Blacktown City come from 188 countries and speak 182 languages from different cultures and faiths making the city of Blacktown one of most culturally diverse cities in Australia.


Mayor Tony Blesdale in his Christmas message spoke about the need for cultural harmony and peace and the important role Seniors play in our families and societies. He thanked the organisation for its generous contribution in supporting the program.
